I want to play a series of photos interacting like in slide show of power point but.....?

in power point the full screen area is not covered during slide show,the left and right pane are left blank so the resolution of the pic changes. if im using picasa we can make movie using that which covers full screen but we cant stop sliding the picture.(i want only interacting sliding of the pic i.e by mouse click). any solution please............?
