Why doesnt google chrome have access to my computer?

googs browser chrome doesnt have access to my computers features for some reason. it cant access the java, the isight, or the microphone. both safari and firefox can. chrome is my favorite browser, and it sucks it cant do this. anybody out there found some sort of fix? its not in the prefrences pane
