Questions about cartilage piercing? Thanks :)?

I got mine done at Claire's last August.. honestly I thought it hurt less than getting my lobe pierced. It was quick and painless. To be honest, I didn't clean it a whole lot, but it never got infected.. so I guess I just got lucky. Caring for it isn't a pain, it only takes like five minutes at most, but I'm just lazy lol.
